Japanese pianist Tempei Nakamura and violist Haruka Nagao will give a mini concert in our 5-star room with a grand piano. Nakamuro is renowned in Europe and the US for his original way of playing. He combines soul, classic and jazz music in a unique style.
This is a preview of the Charity Concert Nakamuro and Nagao will be giving at the Concertgebouw on Sunday afternoon.

Romantic representation of the Zaan region as opposed to the way the artist experiences reality.
Van Noord's previous show dates from 2013 at Duncan Stutterheim's location.
Since then, Van Noord has been making new work. He is a self-made photographer, working with a 4 x 5, 3,5mm plate camera, and sometimes with a digital camera. He makes scans from the photographic plates which he edits into the images on show at 'Great Expectations'.

‘Kalamkari Tales’ by artist Ruud Lanfermeijer.
An exhibition of the age-old craft of hand-blocked cotton printing, Kalamkari, which is practised only in some places in India. The Dutch East India Company imported chintz to the Netherlands in the 17th century, where it was used for regional dress, bed linen and wall hangings. In 2016 a group of Dutch artists worked together with Indian crafters to produce new work commissioned by the Textielfactorij.
