No World One Minute exhibition without Africa, is what the One Minutes organisation ( a Sandberg Institute initiative) thought when they started planning the exhibition, which closed just now in Beijing. So with the help of Stichting DOEN they set up a series of workshops with young professional artists collaborating with local artists initiatives in four African cities across the continent. A One Minute is a 60 second video. The African One Minutes aimed at providing young artists with the equipment and opportunity to work with video.

At Lloyd Time, One Minutes coordinator Sophie Leferink will introduce the World One Minutes. The African workshops will be introduced by its coordinator Alite Thijsen. Artist Guy Wouete, local partner in Douala and workshopfacilitator in Bamako and Douala, will tell about his experience in producing video art.
The artists and workshop facilitators Evelien Krijl, collective Piek and Jose Biscaya will introduce the One Minutes from Mozambique, South Africa, Cameroon and Nigeria.

The World One Minutes cataloque with dvd will be for sale after the presentation.

DJ Emiliano will spin his records afterwards.
