Spanish architect
Ariadna Cantis Silberstein was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and studied Architecture at Madrid, where she graduated in 1987. Since then she has focused her efforts on organising, coordinating and designing architecture exhibitions, prizes, publications and events. From 2000 onwards she has organised the programme and written the book 'Emerging Ibero-American Architecture'. In 2006 she curated the exhibition and wrote 'Freshmadrid and Freshforward'.
We met her at the workshop we gave in Madrid in Spring, as part of the Month of Dutch Design.

film 'São Paulo 300 Millimetres'
In Lloyd Time Ariadna will present the film 'São Paulo 300 Millimetres', which was shown at the exhibition with the same title of which she was co-curator. It consists of a research into the construction of the urban fabric of Brazil's second city, in a dizzying assembly of photographs and digital video records, produced by photographers and artists. The film has nine themes, in which the joint actions of society, public powers and architects are mapped and explored, whether it is to build bus-terminals, 100 primary and secondary schools, or exclusive private homes.
