These anonymous Bangalore-butlers specialise in making you feel they are around the corner, happy to be of service.This phenomenon is the basis of Call Cutta in a Box, a one-on-one performance in which callcenter employees act as performers from a callcenter in Calcutta. The Volkskrant described the one-hour conversation you will have as a 'mindboggling experience'.
Call Cutta in a Box is a performance by Berlin group Rimini Protokoll. They have set the tone for a new wave of 'Reality Theater', that has huge influence on the alternative theater scene. The performance has made quite an impression at earlier runs in Brussels, and at the Noorderzon Festival this summer. As of now it the ticket sales for 'Call Cutta in a Box' have started. The series at Lloyd Hotel take place during the India Festival.
