Yuka Kawabe and MamieMU
Singer /performer Yuka Kawabe and soundperformer mamieMU are involved in a performancenight at Scheltema in Leiden, where artist Chikako Watanabe's installation is part of the Holland Mania manifestation.
The Japanese performers follow the rhythm of the tide in a delicious night of plancton sounds, old sailor's songs and of course the roar of the swelling and withdrawing tide.
In last week's Lloyd Time they gave an impression of their Leiden performance. Saturday they will give a repeat performance; which is delicate, fragile and slightly weird.

Chikako Watanabe's installation is based on historical material of Lloyd Hotel. Characteristic of her work are old customs and traditions.
