miNiATURE is the first indoor 3D garden show in the Netherlands.
Garden designer Erwin Stam together with renowned international colleague Andrew Fisher Tomlin are introducing this unique indoor-garden exhibition to the Netherlands. It is the first garden show in the Netherlands which is entirely based on 3D printmodels.
miNiATURE offers the opportunity to get acquainted with the sophisticated British horticultural tradition without having to travel to the world-famous Chelsea Flower Show. The focus of miNiATURE is on innovative designs, with the application of high-quality materials and a well-balanced relation of living space and nature as central elements.
Also, trending societal topics play a role in the miNiATURE garden designs. Like the current attention for so-called ‘rain gardens’, which effectively absorb superfluous rainfall.
Erwin Stam designed the Dutch contribution with a ‘Luxury Raingarden, inspired by Jacob’.
This design has been given the RAINPROOF qualification by the Rainproof Desk of the Amsterdam City Council.
10 big designers & 10 miNiATURE gardens
Important contributions to the English and Dutch show were made by 3D expert Tom Harfleet and Swedish designer Kasja Bjorne. Other designs are by international top designers among whom Andy Sturgeon, Wilson McWilliams, John Brooks, and Chelsea Flower show 'Best in Show' winners Sarah Eberle, Adam Frost and Jo Thompson. From Australia Jim Fogarty and Myles Baldwin will show their work.
The first edition of miNiATURE was a big success earlier this year in London with lots of media attention. The garden show was visited by the traditional garden lovers, but also by technicians, lifestyle experts, marketeers and policy makers from the government and business. Partners of miNiATURE are the London College of Garden Design, Hobs 3D, Marshalls, SCHELLEVIS and PURE Outdoor Design.
