Two up-and-coming artists from Japan and the Netherlands: Erika Kobayashi and The Future will exhibit together. The exhibition ‘Your Dear Kitty, the book of memories’, consists of an art and sound installation, video works and book-making performance resulting in a limited edition.
The collaboration is based on Erika Kobayashi’s book Your Dear Kitty. Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy functions as a catalyst for many Dutch-Japanese art & design collaborations.

Erika Kobayashi is a Tokyo-based writer/comic artist, whose work has been highly praised and has won famous Japanese literary prizes.

The Future is a young artists' unit by Klara van Duijkeren and Vincent Schipper, based in Amsterdam, whose unique activities as experimental publisher and printer attract attention.
The exhibition is shown at Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy and at ‘t Japans Cultureel Centrum in Amsterdam.

ERIKA KOBAYASHI (Writer / Comic Artist)
Tokyo based writer and comic artist (b.1978 Tokyo). She stayed in New York from 2008 - 2009, having received an invitation from Asian Cultural Council (The Rockefeller Foundation). Her first novel is the Mishima Prize- and Akutagawa Prize-nominated ‘Breakfast with Madame Curie' (2014).

THE FUTURE (Artist/ Publisher & Printer)
The Future is an experimental publisher & printer, established in 2013 by Klara van Duijkeren and Vincent Schipper in Amsterdam. Their works are Art Festival Nuit Blanche Amsterdam 2013 (performance),Cultural Festival Het Lente Kabinet 2014 (design and print of look book and curators cultural program), Flemish Cultural Center Brakke Grond (design and logofor exhibition Creative Underclass), Art Festival Roppongi Art Night 2014 (creation of workshop, installation and performance for RAN 2014).
