Dwalen door het Rijksmuseum
A film about the collection of the reopened Rijksmuseum by Micaela van Rijckevorsel.
The Rijksmuseum reopened in April 2013 after a decade of renovation. Although the top pieces remained open to the public all this time, it now becomes clear that the building and its beautiful spaces play a major role in experiencing the art works.
In her film director Micaela van Rijkcevorsel highlights the building shortly before the opening. While roaming about, she selects a number of objects. Forgotten objects, less obvious items, new acquisitions, next to well-known top pieces.
They evoke moving stories, stories which stimulate to go and watch even more, watch differently and leave room for the mind to run free.
A discovery tour from the familiar to the unknown.
