Llove Hotel Tokyo
Llove Hotel was an exhibition consisting of eleven guest rooms created by renowned Dutch and Japanese designers to celebrate 400 years of trade and cultural relations ‘Netherlands in Japan 2008-2009’. The theme was ‘Still in Llove’. Llove Hotel ran from 23 October to 23 November 2010, to coincide with Designtide Tokyo. In the centre of Richard Hutten's hotelroom, was 'Princess on the Pea', a bed which is part of Hutten's 'Layer' collection.

The exhibition charts the evolution of the Grand Hotel worldwide. From its inception in the early 1920’s to today, the Grand Hotel is the architectural symbol of post-industrial society, which best captures the experience of contemporary life. Guest-curator Jennifer Volland investigates the form, shape and meaning of the Grand Hotel from the Waldorf-Astoria in New York to the Spartan Mansion El Cosmico in Marfa.
