Ties Mellema is ever more popular, especially so since winning the Dutch Music Award in 2010. The pictures he takes since 2011 are not as widely known (yet).

This is the premier of Mellema's street photos which he takes on his way to and from rehearsals and performances. The role of musician is always that of interpreter. It was a revelation for Mellema as photographer to create work. He makes black and white pictures and creates refined images of people in movement.

The exhibition runs until 28 October at the bar of Lloyd Hotel, open daily from 09.00 to 01.00 hrs.
