Slow Lloyd Parade

A celebration to mark the end of a two-year Slow design research program exploring
the Slow creative potentials of people and place in Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands.

This event welcomes back the myriad of designers, architects, artists, environmental activists, social innovators, and local community members who contributed to the program from 2010 onward.

COME GET SLOW WITH US... Fold a paper-fortuneteller and help predict the Slow future of the area!  

Try on a Slow blindfold and tune your senses into your surroundings!  Beautify a bit of the street as you dance with ‘Lekker Vies’ cleaning tools!  Wear a Slow tag to express your potential!

The parade begins at 15.30 on the Lloydplein (in front of the Lloyd Hotel) and heads into the neighborhood, making stops along the way for pom-pon performances by local kids and Fast-Slow exchanges with people on the street.  

At 16.30 we gather at the terrace of the Lloyd for drinks, homemade treats, Slow Speed Dating, and more!
