Two-Michelin-starred chef Menno Post
Steinbeisser is returning to Amsterdam on 15, 16 and 17 May 2015. Under the culinary guidance of two-Michelin-starred chef Menno Post from De Bokkedoorns, an extensive five course dinner will be served. Entirely plant-based (vegan) with all ingredients from biodynamic or organic agriculture sourced in the Netherlands. Before Menno Post started at De Bokkedoorns in January 2014, he worked for 13 years as the right-hand man of masterchef Ron Blaauw. For this edition Menno Post will feature homemade seitan and mini- and microgreens.
Exclusively crafted cutlery and dishes
Also in this edition our guests will be able to make use of the exclusively crafted cutlery and dishes. The dishes and the tablecloths are created by contemporary jewellery artist Nicolas Cheng. The dishes will make visible the origins of the locally harvested produce that will be served during this edition and the tablecloths will feature embroidery motifs of vegetables from Menno Post’s menu.
Ja-kyung Shin created for this edition a unique series of cutlery from silver that draws inspiration from the vegan culture. The cutlery allows dining without cutting or spearing.
The artists’ pieces from Ja-kyung Shin and Nicolas Cheng, made exclusively for this edition, can be purchased throughout the evening.
Drink pairing and dietary wishes
The juice and wine pairings will be curated by chef Menno Post and his sommelier.
We will gladly accommodate any dietary restrictions, allergies or intolerances.
